This picturesque village, located in the heart of Podhale, is not only a paradise for skiers. During summer and warmer months, the region transforms into an ideal destination for active recreation on two wheels or on foot.
Leisurely Walks & Family-Friendly Hikes
For those who prefer a relaxed pace and close contact with nature, the trail along the Białka River (white-blue markings) is perfect. This easy and scenic route runs along the crystal-clear river, offering beautiful views of the surrounding meadows and forests. It’s an excellent option for a family walk, and the many resting spots are ideal for picnics by the river. You can choose a shorter section or complete the entire route (approx. 6.5 km).
The Białka Tatrzańska – Kotelnica hiking trail is about a one-hour route, starting in the center of Białka Tatrzańska and leading up toward the popular Kotelnica Białczańska ski resort. The trail begins moderately steep, passing through forests and meadows, gradually offering more expansive views of the Tatras and surrounding mountain ranges. At the top of Kotelnica, hikers are rewarded with viewpoints and tourist facilities.
Challenges with a Panoramic Backdrop
For more experienced hikers seeking wide-ranging panoramas, we recommend the Białka Dolna – Cisowa Skałka trail. This route leads to a viewpoint with breathtaking vistas of the Tatras, Pieniny, Gorce, and Babia Góra. The hike (approx. 10 km) is well worth the effort for the incredible scenery.
A longer and more varied option is the Białka Tatrzańska – Horników Wierch – Groń – Leśnica trail (approx. 12 km). The route passes through forests and meadows, offering diverse terrain and allowing you to fully enjoy the beauty of Podhale’s nature.
